About
I'm a freelance web developer and digital marketing consultant. I've worked in print and web design for nearly 30 years. Most of my work falls into two buckets: building and maintaining WordPress websites for small and mid-sized businesses, and managing their Google Ads accounts.
What sets my work apart is depth. I don't hand a client a finished site and disappear — I spend years learning how a business actually operates, and that knowledge shows up in the technical decisions I make. Lately that's meant going beyond WordPress itself: building custom internal tools — content audit systems, semantic search, purpose-built fleet maintance and inventory systems — for clients whose needs a standard CMS can't fully cover. I have a strong background in PHP and database architecture, and I'm comfortable working across the modern stack when a project calls for it.

Custom builds, ongoing maintenance, and technical implementation on existing sites. I work directly inside inherited codebases and site architectures — including cases with layered plugin conflicts, legacy customizations, and site-specific quirks that off-the-shelf fixes don't handle well.

Search and YouTube campaign strategy, setup, and ongoing management. I focus on accounts where the ad spend needs to tie cleanly back to real business outcomes, not just impressions.

For clients whose workflows have outgrown a standard website, I design purpose-built tools that plug into their existing systems: internal dashboards, database-driven search and lookup tools, multi-step forms that integrate with third-party APIs, and backend services that replace costly SaaS subscriptions with something owned and tailored to the business. These are typically hosted independently and built to integrate cleanly with an existing WordPress or LAMP-based site, without disrupting what's already working.

Do you build custom software, or just WordPress sites?
Both. Most client work is WordPress-based, but I also build standalone custom applications — search tools, dashboards, API integrations — for businesses whose needs go beyond what a CMS can handle.
Can you take over maintenance of an existing site, or do you only work on sites you build?
Jumping into your existing site is no problem at all. That's how most people become clients. I can take over making updates and fixes, and give you an honest take on when it's time to move onto something new.
What kind of Google Ads work do you do?
I primarily work on Google Search and YouTube campaigns. I can do an analysis of your existing account, or set up and manage brand new accounts.
How do most new clients find you?
Mostly referrals and past working relationships. I keep a limited client roster by design.
